Welcome to the Village of Mount Prospect's Mount Prospect Downtown Block Party!  All are welcome to enjoy live entertainment, delicious food and beverages and fun kids activities. Admission is FREE!

Downtown Mount Prospect @ Emerson Street and Busse Avenue

 

Layout

The 2023 Block Party featured an all-new layout to make the most of our downtown space:

  • The stage is still located on Centennial Green, but is now on the main Village Hall sidewalk, facing south. This allows us to add a NEW jumbotron screen next to the Village Hall building, which faces east. The jumbotron will have live broadcasts of the music performances and share key event information throughout the weekend. 

  • BEVERAGES ON BUSSE will be home to the beer and alcohol tents, with ID check/wrist banding at the corner of Emerson and Busse. Learn more about our alcoholic beverage options.

  • PICNIC IN THE PARK features the Downtown Block Party's food options, situated along the pathway in the Busse Pocket Park. Enjoy local dining in a shaded, comfortable setting, with table seating in adjacent Emerson Street or Busse Ave.

Good to Know

  • Outside alcohol and coolers are not permitted in the event area. All those that wish to purchase alcohol will need a wristband - bring your ID!

  • The Mount Prospect Police Department will be utilizing a drone for surveillance of the event for the purpose of real-time monitoring of participant safety.

  • A First Aid tent will be on-site and staffed throughout the duration of the event. Village staff can answer general questions at the Information Booth.

The block party is less than 2 blocks from the Mount Prospect Metra Train Station on the UP Northwest line.
